Ted Powers

Advisor
Ted Powers has been the advisor of The Glacier since 2000. Prior to his advisorship role, he wrote for the Sun Times Group for 10 years. He has guided the paper to numerous local, state and national awards for design and content. The Glacier was brought online in fall of 2008 and its website has won numerous awards. Powers is also the advisor of Mastodon, the student literary magazine of Moraine Valley Community College.

Amel Saleh

Editor-in-Chief
The editor-in-chief is solely responsible for the entire content of The Glacier and makes all final decisions. They are also responsible for all the staff’s maintenance of high journalistic form.

Frank Florez

Layout Editor
The Layout Editor is responsible for the entire layout of The Glacier.

Emalee Kay

Graphics Editor
The Graphics Editor is responsible for all visual content appearing in The Glacier, including layout and design decisions.

Dawn Klingensmith

Online Editor
The Online Editor is responsible for all content appearing on the Glacier’s Website.

Mike Frederiksen

Photo Editor
The Photo Editor is responsible for the photojournalistic content that appears in The Glacier.

Connor Reynolds

News Editor
The News Editor is responsible for the completion of the entire news section, from concept to print (meaning that the pages are ready to be sent to the printer).

Anthony Rojas

Social Editor
The Social Editor is responsible for the completion of the entire Social section, from concept to print (meaning that the pages are ready to be sent to the printer).

William Shaw

Views Editor
The Views Editor is responsible for the completion of the entire views section, from concept to print (meaning that the pages are ready to be sent to the printer).

Sports Editor
The Sports Editor is responsible for the completion of the entire sports section, from concept to print (meaning that the pages are ready to be sent to the printer).

Laura Sparks

Classifieds Manager
The Classifieds Manager is responsible for the completion of the classifieds page, from sales to print, and assists with the Career Corner section.

Dan Hurley

Distribution Manager
The Distribution Manager is responsible for The Glacier distribution process including filling all the newspaper stands on campus and recycling old issues.
