Work For The Glacier

Editorial Positions

The Glacier is looking for new editorial staff. Working for The Glacier will not only provide you with a means of showing off your work to your peers, but the leadership positions also look great on a resumé after you graduate or transfer. All applicants must be upcoming or current students at Moraine Valley Community College, attending at least part time (6 credit hours) to be considered for a position.

Editorial Assistants
Editorial assistants help other editors in completing content, proofreading and providing original content where necessary. Becoming an editorial assistant is a great way to introduce yourself to a newsroom without becoming too involved all at once. In particular, The Glacier has three assistant areas: a general assistant, an online assistant and a graphics assistant, who all help their respective fields. Prior experience in news writing, newspaper design and the Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
